We illuminate the trickiest topics and ignite passion for learning in a welcoming environment. We are now taking summer bookings for:
Group Tuition for entrance exam preparation (£25). Book here; OR currently-registered students ONLY can use the form at the bottom of this page.
Classic tuition sessions in maths, English and/ or entrance exam preparation (ages 5-16) (£28). Book here OR currently-registered students ONLY can use the form at the bottom of this page.
Entrance Exam Masterclasses in maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning as well as exam technique mastery. These consist of pre-recorded video tutorials and workbooks (£20). Find out more here and contact us to purchase a masterclass.
Online group tuition for entrance exam preparation (£22). Please contact us to book.
Online Vocabulary Booster for entrance exam preparation (£88 for four-week course). These one-hour sessions will take place on four consecutives Tuesdays, from 1st August. Find out more and book here OR currently-registered students ONLY can use the form at the bottom of this page.
Practice Entrance Exams for Trafford’s grammar schools (£45). We are running one Loreto/ Ambrose-style exam and two Trafford Consortium-style exams. Find out more and book here.
Small Room Practice Entrance Exams for Trafford’s grammar schools (£45). These will take place at Better Tuition and are suitable for all students, especially for those who will be placed in a small room for the real exam in September.

We will be using papers from previous exams at The Venue, so please ensure your child will not already have encountered the papers.
Our 2023 Summer School will run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 25th July until 30th August. We do our very best to fit everyone in but these services are very popular so please do not delay in booking. Please note we are unable to offer free assessments between 1st June and 1st September.
We aim to provide engaging, dynamic lessons which will fill your child with confidence and enthusiasm together with the skills needed to aim for excellence in the new academic year.
You can pay using childcare vouchers, Working Families’ Tax Credits or tax-free childcare for every service except our online sessions. If you need to cancel please give us 48 hours’ notice, otherwise we will have to charge for the lesson. Staffing and scheduling is quite tricky over summer, so it really is important to keep us informed.
If you book a lesson that you do not attend without contacting us, we will regretfully cancel any other summer school lessons you have booked and allocate them to students on our waiting list.
Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis. You may book as many or as few sessions as you wish.
If your child does not normally attend lessons at Better Tuition, you will need to pay for all booked lessons by Tuesday, 4th July 2023. We regret that we must be so strict about this but this arises from previous occasions when people have booked in and failed to attend or pay.
