What to Expect at a Better Tuition Masterclass

Every year, thousands of children sit entrance exams in Trafford and beyond, in the hopes of securing a place at a prestigious grammar school. The exams are extremely competitive and only one in four children pass, whilst fewer than this number are offered a place. That is just one of the reasons why it is so important to approach these tough exams in the right way – and who better to help your child than the expert team at Better Tuition?

Your child’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do and we always strive to boost your child’s self-belief so that s/he can develop a confident approach to exams. Exam technique and strategies for dealing with nerves are embedded in every session. We also target skills and develop understanding. Each online entrance exam masterclass targets different areas; please see below for more information.

Our digital entrance exam masterclasses will take at least three intensive hours to complete. Many children will take much longer to comfortably absorb all the information and we do recommend that you should spread out the masterclasses over a few days. Our masterclasses have been designed so that your child will be able to complete them with minimal parental supervision.

How it works When you book and pay for your masterclass, we will send you a printed workbook and a password to access our video tutorials. You may download the video tutorials to your own devices or simply stream them from our website. Each masterclass will take a minimum of three hours to complete (apart from Maths B which is a double masterclass – at no extra cost – and which will take at least six hours to complete). We recommend that you spread each masterclass across two to three days but if you prefer to complete a full class in one chunk, please allow your child to take frequent breaks, to avoid mental fatigue.
