Trafford Entrance Exams 2019 – Some Dates and Deadlines

Many parents have been asking when the 2019 entrance exams for Trafford’s grammar schools will take place.  Whilst we know that all the state grammars tend to run their exams for Year 6 children in September, not all the dates are available yet.

So far, we have the following information about 2019 entrance exam dates for grammar schools in Trafford:

CEM Exam

This will take place on Monday, 16th September 2019. You cannot register for the exam before 3rd June 2019. The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Friday, 28th June 2019. The CEM exam encompasses Urmston, Stretford and Sale Grammar Schools, as well as Altrincham Grammar School for Girls.

Loreto Grammar

loreto grammar entrance exam 2019This will take place on Saturday, 21st September 2019. We do not have any details yet about when to apply but this is normally done online.

St Ambrose College

St Ambrose College’s 2019 entrance exam will take place on Friday, 20th September. The deadline for applications is 31st August 2019. Registration for the exam is normally done online.

Altrincham Grammar School for Boys

[UPDATED: 06/02/2019] According to AGSB’s draft 2020 admissions policy,  you must register for the examination by Thursday, 18th July 2018. Registration is usually online, however you may ask the school for a hard (paper) copy of the form. We do not have the date of this school’s 2019 entrance exams.
