Primary School Dates for Your 2019 Diary
There is always ‘something to look forward to’ when your child is at primary school. It can be hard keeping track of everything, especially if you have more than one child, so we have collated some key dates for you. Below are several key dates for your 2019 diary.
Pre-School
OFFER DAY: 16TH APRIL 2019
If your child was born between 1st September 2014 and 31st August 2015, you will be allocated a school place on this day. More information about choosing a school and applying for a place.
Year 1
PHONICS SCREENING CHECK
These will be carried out during the week commencing 10th June 2019. More information about the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check.
Year 2
KEY STAGE 1 SATS

Maths and English tests will be carried out during the month of May 2019. Most schools prefer not to give a precise date, to avoid pressurising the children. More information about Key Stage 1 SATs.
Year 4
MULTIPLICATION TABLES CHECK
These times table tests will be carried out by some schools during the month of June 2019. Many schools prefer not to give a precise date, to avoid pressurising the children. These tests will be compulsory for all Year 4 children from 2020. More information about the Multiplication Tables Check.
YEAR 5
ENTRANCE EXAMS
