Struggling with literacy or numeracy? These resources are the toolkit you need.

We have had lots of lovely feedback from parents this week – suddenly it seems like everyone in Urmston and Stretford is recommending the Better Tuition Centre!  We know that one of the features parents really love about our centre is the scope of our expertise.  We can tutor, expertly, from Early Years to GCSE.  We cover maths, English and Science, as well as entrance exam preparation.

We are also very expert in Special Education Needs.  Christine McLaughlin, Director of Teaching and Learning, is a qualified Special Needs teacher and loves nothing better than helping children overcome struggles with learning.

Our customers often ask where they can find resources they can use at home to support a child who is dyslexic or struggling with maths.

If you are looking for a range of resources including fun games and practical tools, the fantastic Let Me Learn’s website has just what you are looking for.

Let Me Learn provides fantastic resources for children with dyslexia or those who struggle with maths.  It’s run by Sue Kerrigan, who is a tutor and is herself dyslexic, so she has an amazing empathy for her students.  She knows exactly what her customers need.  Some of the resources are designed by Sue herself.

All Let Me Learn resources are designed to take account of literacy and numeracy issues, and range from literacy and numeracy games to practical tools such as reading rulers.

We particularly like the software section  and the pre-school resources.  All the teachers at Better Tuition, Urmston are big fans of stickers and Let Me Learn has a really nice selection in their rewards section.

Take a look at Let Me Learn and let us know what you think.  If you need individual tuition for your child in Urmston or Stretford, please call Better Tuition on 0161 748 3912 or email us at bettertuition@bethere.co.uk.
